Yi Xu (b.1995, Hangzhou, China) is a visual artist who currently lives and works in New York City and Hangzhou. Yi seeks abstract means of exploring and understanding the fundamental nature of existence and belonging through her painting and drawing. Yi earned her BFA in Painting and History of Art from Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2019, and her MFA at the School of Visual Arts in NYC in 2024.
